Thermodynamics is the general theory of energy and matter conversion processes. It is a system analytical science and one the fundamental pillars of engineering. Technical fields of application focus on the areas of energy and process engineering, namely in building service engineering, industrial process technologies as well as in the communal supply and disposal engineering.
As part of the lecture, the following courses are offered:
- Lecture Thermodynamics I/II
- Exercise Thermodynamics I/II in the form of a reading
- Tutorial Thermodynamics I/II (registration required)
- Tutorial Thermodynamics for Candidates of Teachers Training and Technical Communication
- Consultation hours Thermodynamics I/II
- Intensive Preparation Thermodynamics I/II is targeted at students preparing for their last possible written examination (registration required)

For the participation in the tutorial registration is required. The available rooms and times are shown. If there are discrepancies between the dates on the homepage and the Campus system, the information on the website of the LTT is valid.
Exercises, Formulary and Substance Properties
For a better understanding of the contents of the lecture, exercises will be solved in the tutorials under guidance of scientific assistants. A formulary and substance properties will be available in the written examination.
The formulary as well as old examination papers can be downloaded at the L²P - das Lehr- und Lernportal of the RWTH Aachen University.
The exercise sheets for the tutorials will be available at the course room of the RWTH Aachen University in advance before the next tutorial.
